Comparison Paragraph

            In this paragraph I will compare the Hungarian football with the Croatian football. Firstly I will bring some similarities: We are both located in Central-Europe, we are neighbours; There is a huge overlap in our history. These points are interesting, because we all know which nations play the better football.

Now, to move on with the more important part, the differences: The population, in Hungary there are around 10 Million people, while in Croatia, there are only about 4 Million. The territories, Hungary almost has the double region. From these data, according to the law of averages, Hungary should represent the bigger “football power”. The fact is that Croatia has far better football, and now I am only talking about the national team. I do not have official numbers about the money that is invested into football in Hungary, and in Croatia (I guess none of “general citizen” do), but we can say that football is important in both countries, so it is not about money, or it is? There are theories about the harmfulness of the salaries for footballers, especially in Hungary. There are several other guesses, but I would like to only represent facts, not my, or anyone others thoughts.

            The facts: All Croatian players are in strong leagues, in prestigious teams, maybe three or four Hungarian players are in strong league, like the German Bundesliga. The stamina and the technique of the players, there are also a huge difference. I cannot make a conclusion, because of the lack of information; I can only hope that Hungary will perform a better/stronger football in the close future.
