Descriptive paragraph about music
Music is one of the earliest form of art. It is also a
cultural activity, which can be defined with the terms such as rhythm, melody,
harmony, and dynamics. Music is performed with a wide range of instruments, including
computers or other electric instruments, and also there are many vocal
techniques. Because of this, the definition of music may vary according to
cultural or social context. Through history, due to changes in cultures, some
new forms of music have been criticized as „not being music”, including punk
music, the jazz in the 1920’s, and even Beethoven’s Grosse Fuge. However, 20th
century composer John Cage said that „any sound can be music, therefore there
is no noise, only sound.” Music can be divided into genres, such as pop, rock,
folk, and these genres also can be divided into subgenres. This diversity,
along with the the developing telecommunication devices allowed music in the
20th century to spread like wildfire, and it got to millions of people around
the world very quickly.
